oh n, i feel your pain. i recently moved into a smaller and had to some realistic choices as to what to keep. some thoughts…want to your papers? – scan them and them on CD! as for the textbooks … i at it this: academia is ever-evolving fair we are. if you are in re-engaging in a subject, for sources to bag from. i a hard time believing your textbooks offer you any more reward.if your other books are collectibles, sentimental gifts or especially provoking for you, them. if they are NOT, pass them along to friends. they may to you in the future.dishes – i kept enough for a dinner party of 8, and drew the line there.if you are REALLY struggling, things into storage (NOT in your place) and wait to behold if you really need/want them. chances are, if they are out of sight, you will realize you dont need to hang onto them.

Prototype? I am from the Czech Republic and this is a Communist era thing that all kindergartens, schools, government offices and all other public bathrooms had then and are fortunately getting rid of in favor of liquid soap dispensers. It does accomplish a really lather though, as someone has already mentioned …

This is one of my biggest issues now with etsy. Not only are these decals infringing copyright laws but they are “over-taking” what is meant to be a “handmade” website. Entirely unorginal…

I a similar (custom) bench in my kitchen/dining area. Here is what I would do, if I could it all over again:Have a carpenter construct you a bench that will accommodate commonly-found floor-cushion seating, the ones shown here:

@miranarI mixed feelings about RH products. Ironically, I am happier with the more complex (with drawers, for example) pieces than the rustic bookcase that I bought. I paid (ouch, ouch, ouch) for the rustic bookcase too!

@Stephan, some comfy chairs with ottomans. I a similar with 3 doors and a fireplace and entertainment center on walls. The ottomans allow you to stretch out and add additional seating if needed. Here is an example of my living room however I took out the ottomans when staging for the photo.

I bought this one for my mom, gift. I can change out the photos easily by swapping the memory card (compact flash) and I it programmed so that it only goes on during the day. The Philips one has the clearest of the ones that I seen. I about getting myself one too.

Spray paint the furnitures, they spray paint for plastic now, a color melon or turquoise. (Ask your landlord about this and other proposed changes as well. You might incur liability for planting an invasive vine and other choices, and it may be that the landlord keeps the yard deliberately drab to prevent problems with guests/drama, etc).Get any permissions in writing, if you something and it accidentally causes that might involve the landlord and his profits, it is how expeditiously he will forget any verbal agreement made.

I hope this will not sound offensive, but I always considered this holiday weekend as a considerate of Christmas – to celebrate the pledge of a better future. Dr. emperor has become such a personal force in the lives of all Americans that intimate and casual exclamations abound.

I as a child, growing up in Ireland, I wanted a full-sized Dalek ( from Dr. Who ). I woke Christmas morning to a robot, battery operated, Dalek. I was disappointed, but by *, that robot worked SO well!

@eracska I understand…I had that happen, and it is not you. Some people are maybe too self-absorbed? It is it uncomfortable, and it makes it beautiful impossible to a friendship.

Wow I finally found this Horned Owl Lamp at this place. I bag animal figurines and found a bunch of animal shaped porcelain lights here. And at more reasonable too.

Haha, I to say that while I these spaces and could live in any of them, but I that they are too dark, not enough plants, and not enough color for my boyfriend! However, that kitchen/breakfast nook in the first pic is totally something that both of us could live with and (with a painting in of the portrait)Both of us gravitate towards wood or medium antique (think leksvik from Ikea!), but while I am with some neutrals, he likes COLOR! (yes, even pink and purple).I the biggest male-female taste with us is details. I delight in things that a handmade appeal, and potentially a sparkle, whereas he likes simple, lines. I also tend to things, while he is really really at maintaining the necessities in an way.The other major difference is money. I am a more spontaneous (ok, a lot) and will a bit more… He is more talented at reclaiming and getting things I envy for next to nothing.

We bought a townhome last October which was finished extremely nicely except for the dash in closet in the master bedroom which was generic and inefficient for our hanging and storage items. We searched online for several weeks looking at different options to remodel and upgrade our closet. Our searches kept bring us to Easy Closets. My wife and I are retired, handy but not skilled carpenters or craftsmen by any means. However, Easycloset.com website encouraged us to give it try. We gave our Easy Closet consultant, Deb, our closet dimensions and some basic info about our hanging and storage needs and received a detailed closet that was honest what we had visualized. After some minor alterations we placed our order. It arrived in several days from NJ to our cramped resort town in the Rocky Mountains. The step-by-step instructions for our specific installation were easy to follow and we completed the entire install in a day. We had a few questions and found the phone customer to be immediately available and to our questions as we were working. We are extremely with the outcome, which is high quality and looks a custom professional install at a well below what we would expected to pay to it done locally. Easy Closets exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it to our friends.Lynn and Donna, Steamboat Springs, CO

My mom (Fiestaware in 4 colors) passed this advice on to me (solid taupe) when my sister registered for her wedding – imagine a fried egg on your plate. That awesome green floral looks unappetizing!

Gray is the neutral. There are 1,000s of grays from pale to charcoal. I believe if you paint your walls a pale gray it will lighten the space. The sofa looks be pleased it is beige. The color of gray and beige can be jolted by using accent colors of orange, chartreuse, blue, or some other colors. My walls are beige with beige sofa and bordeaux cherry floors. I want to paint walls gray to update the living room. Luck with your project. Sounds delight in you absorb a adventure ahead of you.

I to agree that perhaps the Target version of these is not so great. I had a roommate who had the ones, and when I moved to my bear place, I found these at Target. They continually popped and flipped upside down, making the curtain difficult to open. (This did not happen with the ones my roommate had – hers must been the thing!) I replaced the ones with simple chrome hooks which work great!

I totally agree. When I was a child in Scotland and Ireland drinking fountains were now everyone seems to around with a drink in their hands. We a bottle from the tap before we leave the house one less plastic bottle and we are lucky enough to water where we live.

@susrith could u please suggest some projects on sari… I a few from my grandmother and would to them as accents rather then having then in a closet. All ideas are highly anticipated.

@ZoeMcC I agree with your of the value of furniture, and also with Karrie that the dresser was over priced in the thrift store. Thrift stores seem to be steadily increasing their prices well beyond any inflation. What is that about? if the dresser was in shape overall and Karrie really loved the of the dresser, and she enjoyed the painting and all, she has ended up with a totally to her taste. Which was the point to her, I would guess, not being able to sell the later for a profit.

First time I’m writing here in AT, but I impartial needed to thank you all & AT for this cure. I found myself every morning when I woke up with coffee in my hand checking all your comments and smiling & conception exactly what you were all saying. I successfully finished the cure, leaving some minor projects of mine for Feb, and not believing how many things I had to out of home. For an apartment of 60 m2, taking out 10 whole colossal bags of stuff is a deal for me! I collecting stuff and cause of this cure, I was able to throw (or give) out things, which I never (or cleaned for that matter) and so more for me. Thank you all!Greetings from Mary in Athens, Greece

Elfa componants are expensive, depending on your of “on the cheap.” I recently aged an Elfa catalog to my closet but went to Ikea and spent a third of what the Elfa system cost. I cast my vote for the Ikea wardrobes. Since the entire room will be the closet I suggest leaving the doors off .

Where does it say that in to be creditable, Maxwell and Sara Kate must be abominable and live in a space? Remember how many people wanted them to to a larger dwelling when they announced they were expecting a baby?AT the website and AT the book are about apartment living in general and making that work, not about where the Gillingham-Ryans live or their economic status.

Manduka mats are hands down the best yoga mats on the market. I gone through so many mats in my ten plus years of yoga and I finally bought a Manduka four years ago and never looked back. I employ it every day for a vigerous Ashtanga practice and it looks new.If you customary yoga mats, donate them to your yoga studio or yoga teacher, there are always charity yoga programs that can consume free mats.

These are some delectable doozies. Descriptions seem to be the plot where the people with a sense of humor (particularly of a self-deprecating kind) stand out from the grave (often trying too hard) folks.

“It came with a parking spot. Yes!” I feel ya! As someone who recently finished an apartment hunt, getting that included parking is such a Eureka! moment.I that your looks designed without being too designed – if that makes sense? It is natural and comfortable even though it has a coordinated design.

178 sq.ft studio, three years running! I living in a studio because I abhor living with other people. Plus I can decorate it however I want!I not absorb a separate kitchen, one of those multi-unit kitchen things sunk into a wall. It has a vent but I I continue to smell odours for a couple hours afterward, especially if I let something burn, eugh!So as was mentioned above, clear you a studio with a separate kitchen space! My next studio will a separate kitchen (and a of something other than the building next door)!
