I would flip the table and shelf, so that the table is by the window and the shelf is by the hallway. I also the of rotating the table 90 degrees if you can.We a similar with similar needs, and I reluctantly got rid of the kids table. Best thing I ever did. We didn’t actually miss it that and it freed up a lot of play space. Visually the room looked less cluttered and we weren’t tripping over it all the time, too. Those two changes will give you a between the couch/tv and dining area. If you in the habit of collapsing your umbrella stroller and parking it in the entry nook, it should really help.

JFM I so feel for you and since my has been invaded by roaches I not wanted to to bed at night and not sleep well.I had someone deal with my roaches Friday and I collected a couple of course everyday. For everyone with roach problems it is extremely to out what of roach is invading your home because they for different baits. I Field Roaches which conclude not carry disease and are looking for water not food (I them). My Field Roaches will not eat normal roach bait so a corn product with 5% of something else was puffed around the outside of my house with a bit under my refrigeator and stove and a couple of other places inside my house. After they eat it they can not reproduce. My roaches are lost I was told and looking for water. I would be pleased to a up pointing them in the direction of the creek. If you want to catch out what considerate of cockroach you are dealing with one or alive and not crushed (you can assign it in a jar filled with rubbing alcohol to your counties argricultural commissioner and they will type it and you how best to treat it.The man who came to my house to treat my roaches on Friday to employ Borax rather than boric acid because Borax is less toxic and to spread it thinly. He replied Boric Acid is more toxic then most people know. He has been doing pest control as non-toxic as possible at UC Berkeley for 28 years and he has written brochures on how to treat roaches and has taught other people how to non-toxic pest control.Good luck to anyone with roaches – the buggers *!

As a preschool science teacher, I admire baking soda and vinegar! So fizzing – a introduction to the world of chemical reactions. I also clean with both items (though usually separately). I completed a blog post this morning testing 3 spring-cleaning Pinterest hacks, and baking soda was in one (glasstop stove) while vinegar was in another (washing machine). Spring cleaning is in force!

Libby–The advice Pixie offered is far better than mine. What I saw on the Oprah went along those lines: the woman in had to meds and extensive therapy, plus professional cleaners and organizers were brought into her house, first for triage, then to the woman how to manage things. (I assert having professionals is preferable so that relations with family members or friends are not bad by the of persuading the afflicted person to with objects.)There was a segment during the which the organizer and the therapist were working together with the woman at her house helping her to throw things out. The woman was in tears and clearly panicked. Some maladies (claustrophobia, agoraphobia, and the like) are treated with what is known as the “cruelest cure”: helping the afflicted person face his/her fears head-on.Finally, Pixie was fair on the money about the money–even the best health insurance will not pay for professional cleaners and organizers.Libby, my heart goes out to you. My hope is that you some to this woman and that her life improves.

Try2Cope: included mention of alternative unplugging USB or pulling out batteries for wireless models, but sometimes we all ourselves wanting/needing to up the keyboard in the middle of a hectic day. Both these apps let you to cleanup without having to completely turn off your machine, which is more efficient.

Mabye Americans a such a time with Thanksgiving because they try to hard to it perfect. I say lounge around, friends over and borrow the family car. My fave Thanksgiving ever was spent with an American couple. The grandmother was a liberal, the couple fundamentalists. The sister arrived, seemingly a completely different person than the demure one I had met before, and proceeded to * and flirt with my husband. Found out later she had multiple personality disorder. My friends were embarrassed, I loved it. it was in the movies.

Congratulations. Brooke had my vote. The interior alone does not bawl “look at me, at me!” but seems warm and comfortable and is balanced by the dramatic art of the Rainbow sign.

My grandfather took his collection to a friend who kept them for a few days to explore and give him a price. The friend ended up stealing the most and then denying they even existed in the set. Never let anything you is worth money out of your when getting it appraised!

Now why I the of the soft maps, I dont feel as though they were executed extremely well and it lacks practicality for the price… that was until she starts using a computerized program and then you lack the craftmanship. I the of the blocks, they are practical, they are well executed, and you dont to compromise the craftmanship to mass distribute these. And not to mention that a ton of possiblities and character. Theres only so you can with a quilt.

I live in a period flat, 2 flights up, no lift. Came after a rather strenuous workout at the gym and hands filled with my weekly shopping and “* I wish I had a lift.”That being said, with a ground floor flat you to about security.

It s all made with natural materials, customized to my needs (if i buy correct, they 13 different types to from) and it s soft and comfortable. i assume it is one of the greatest purchases i ve made recently. You should also a review for Coco-Mat brand, i m really to hear your about it. check their website!

DOGS ARE NOT SECURITY ALARMS. Getting one for that purpose does dinky if nothing to (as evidenced by my neighbors – two vicious sounding dogs and they got their house got broken into twice last year). a because you want a lifelong friend. As for other solutions, outdoor motion lights a lot. I absorb heard some people employ motion activated sprinklers (which sounds lots of fun, but potentially ineffective and probably wasteful.) There was a post on here not too long ago about setting up inexpensive surveillance inside your house using webcams.

we a dinky white one in our kitchen. my mother is Portuguese and we are from South ma. which is a Portuguese neighborhood one of our neighbors they are luck and you should always one in the house.

  18. Nina-Karen

I agree with this sentiment: “The owner can that decision and taking paint OFF woodwork is so considerable more of a hassle.” Kitchens were everything is painted white are trendy now, but it is a shame ruining wood for a trend that will be out of fashion next year and that the home owners might not like. Besides, white fleet gets dirty, and your renters could mess it up before the house is sold.

This is a really basic question, but having no DIY skills I to ask….Can anyone provide guidance on how to paint natural steel/stainless steel furniture? I want to the slim console at Room and Board due to dwelling restrictions, but I need some color. Any ideas? What of paint, I need to prime, etc.?Or places to to to acquire it done? Autobody shop? Any recommendations in Hoboken/Jersey City? Thanks!

a major fraction of watching your money is security against identity theft – which is extremely costly. Mint got bought out, I would wait and explore what the tech news has to say before using them. I a separate account for my ATM card with a few hundred in it so I dont need to about my main chronicle getting accessed. Check all of our accounts regularly, and check in with the credit bureaus about locking down your credit.Following Will Rogers [?] advice is too – the quickest to double your money is to fold it in half and it in your pocket.

the floor! adore the of Lincoln, a faux verdigris wall finish, floor molding, and copper or oil rubbed bronze accents. But, being an artist, the did my mind (and many others before me, apparently)… why not a mosaic of Lincoln in pennies?

You can attain this with houseplants as well, depending on your local climate. Sink them into the ground * and all in an appropriate area in your yard or garden and leave them out until it gets too cold. Did it when I was a kid – the plants grow crazy. You to be on the lookout for pests, though. And most houseplants shade – sun even for a few minutes a day will destroy many of them.

That is killer…though I first saw grapes instead of bubbles…it being a winery and all.I assume on-site robot, personally. It would be too fragile if the whole panel was made and then delivers and installed. Or perhaps it was off-site-robot-made in say 1 foot by 1 foot sections and then sent in…to be puzzled together.Hmmmm…ditto Doug…though I would to know what mortar they are using if any…especially if it was made in smaller panels.Hmmmm.

@shes_got_a_way : Not what you want to compare (price, quality, longevity, etc.), but as far as firmness, the Casper is not as as my 12-year Simmons Beautyrest Burdock mattress – I bought one with no pillow top, as I liked the feeling of the one with no pillow top. I did add an Ikea Tarsta foam topper to it after about 5 years, when the top started to feel a bit too (perhaps the top foam compressed over time? perhaps my aged?).The Casper did not provide as as my modern 12-year mattress with the Ikea mattress topper, which is about 2 inches of cheap foam.I tried out the Casper, as my mattress will need replacing in the not-too-distant-future, but the Casper was not enough for me – it felt bask in I sagged into it.

OH NO!! I MISSED IT! *. When is the next one scheduled, anyone know? Also, when is the co-op open? Can you fair swing by and begin firing off questions even though there are not specialist / contractors there?

I affection my stuff and I the current trend of “decluttering” everything is * moralizing. HOWEVER: even I is a huge time to whittle down you possessions. Rather than asking myself if an item “sparks joy”, or whatever the kids are doing these days, I ask myself “Do I this item enough to pack it?” Turns out there is a LOT of stuff where the acknowledge is “no”.Now, my husband and I similar tendencies to catch ephemera, so we rarely into arguments about how stuff to keep. But sometimes we clash about what is appropriate to in public rooms of the house. If your is enough I highly recommend carving out areas where each of you has total control of contents and decorations. Then each of you can feel free to as or as as you in those spaces without impacting the other. You to be firm if it starts creeping into public areas without prior discussion. My blog:

you pets? A similar happened with a friend of mine. As it turns out their cat had fleas and only people react to the flea bites (her other did not the bites despite sharing the same sleeping space). The bites looked a mosquito bite with a dot in the middle and were uncomfortable. She ended up having to amble to the dr to what was biting her.

“Cash-strapped means you shop at Goodwill for $50 couches.”Or pull one out of the dumpster. My husband and I had an inflatable mattress. Then we got a kitten. Then one morning we woke up and our butts were on the floor. That was when we decided we needed a bed. We got a extremely futon for $500.

The tools list includes a hacksaw, circular saw, saw and a file? I would hardly call that an easy intro to DIY. I made better-looking and far easier flexy shelves with a cordless drill and a wrench. Depot the plywood for me.

I all of these gallery walls or, as we call it in art museums, “salon installation.” Generally I anxious when frames are but Number 6 won me over because the kooky angles abolish each other out the randomly arranged shapes in a Hans Arp collage:

on the outside, on the inside ! — the box-like closet(?) at the top of the stairs, the kitchen is and the windows !!!! beneficial bird, crimson lips, amethyst and yellow arrangement. that bird looks extremely mcm familiar… r.eames?the whole is so light and airy yet of fun things. I appreciate the living room /books/seating a lot, with such simple furnishings it looks a extremely comfy to lounge…

@infomofo I DID manage to sort my kitchen as I packed it in my last disappear and the basic criteria were as follows:1. I more than one of this? If yes, I need more than one of this? (I had four bundt pans. Seriously.)2. I this in the last year?3. I something else I can for this purpose?I got rid of a amount of stuff this but my kitchen was nearly half the boxes I moved despite being the smallest room in the house.
